Each tile is handmade and unique, with layers of custom formulated clay bodies, coloured terra sigillata, with soda ash and lithium washes. 

Patterns and textures were rendered from actual wheat, rocks, trees, and found metal, keeping the creation process in the spirit of simplicity and using materials in the natural environment.

Crafted by Hector Heritage Quay carpenters using local wood salvaged from Hurricane Fiona, the fireplace mantel honours the Ship Hector legacy. The design, by Fenn, reflects the iconic curves of the historic vessel.
